  • Explorer Tickets (£9 for adults and £15 for a group of up to 2 adults and 3 children) are available on Sundays and Bank Holidays on DalesBus and some connecting services providing unlimited travel within specified geographic areas. • Metrocard or MCard holders loaded with at least a weekly or longer period ticket can travel free on Sundays and Bank Holidays on DalesBus services operating from/to West Yorkshire.
  • ENCTS concessionary bus pass holders can normally travel free on most DalesBus services. However, some Summer DalesBus services have been excluded from the ENCTS following decisions by North Yorkshire and Lancashire County Council. Reduced fares are available for ENCTS pass holders on these services or alternatively pass holders could purchase a Dales Privilege Rover ticket.

For full details of timetables, fare offers, including those offered by other bus operators, as well as terms and conditions please check with the DalesBus website www.dalesbus.org

Guided Walks

A programme of guided walks is provided from the DalesBus network every Sunday and Bank Holiday. These are graded and timed to meet popular bus services and to return in good time for the return buses home. The walks are organised and led by DalesBus Ramblers which is part of the Friends of DalesBus.

The Friends of DalesBus (previously known as the Yorkshire Dales Public Transport Users Group) was established more than 20 years ago to campaign for accessible and affordable public transport for visitors and residents within the Yorkshire Dales.  For details of the Friends of DalesBus latest campaigns and the DalesBus Ramblers walks programme visit www.friendsofdalesbus.org.uk

Bill Bryson, a supporter, says :

"There isn't a more glorious and beguiling landscape anywhere, or one more deserving of our support. It really is as simple as that"

Alastair Humphreys

Our Patron

says :

"it's more beautiful than you realise; the people are open and friendly and have time for you; your phone might not work which is a positive as you'll have more time - slow down and enjoy the silence".

Alastair’s quest for adventure began young. Aged 8, he completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge over 26 miles
