Do you run a club, society, charity group or other non profit making organisation? Then you can become a Group Friend of the Dales for just £35/year.

AGM – invitation to the Society’s AGM held in a Dales village on a Saturday in early September

 

FREE year round guided walks and talks visiting the stunning landscapes and vibrant communities of the Dales. If you plan to attend as a group, please let us know in advance!

 

  • FREE  talks in Dales based venues, with invited speakers, on a host of fascinating topics. If you plan to attend as a group, please let us know in advance!

 

  • Joint events possible – offer your expertise to help us run a new event e.g. biking, geology, caving, bird watching, sailing – suggest an idea and we can discuss it further with you!

 

  • Advise our Policy Committee – share your expertise with our voluntary Policy Committee to help us assess major planning applications and policy developments which affect the Dales

 

Everyone is welcome at our events, members and non members - see Upcoming Events for more information. The next event is a morning guided walk looking at the heritage of Ilkley town, with an afternoon talk about the rejuvenation of the Manor House. Saturday 2 December - all welcome to either/both walk and talk, and afterwards a chance to enjoy the town with its seasonal ambiance.
